What is Sommtable™ ?
Sommtable™ is an event platform that curates six-seat tables led by sommeliers, wine & food experts, and brand ambassadors at standout restaurants and wineries, experiences crafted for meaningful business networking, thoughtful dating, and exclusive celebrity live conversations.
Is Sommtable™ a wine club?
No. Sommtable™ is an event platform not a subscription wine club. We curate six-seat tables and spotlight a broad range of artisans and categories, including wine, beer, coffee, tea, chocolate, and cheese. Our focus is on live, expert-led experiences and discovery, not monthly shipments.
What happens if an event is sold out?
Join the waitlist on the event page. If a seat opens, we’ll notify waitlisted guests in order of sign-up.
Can I transfer my seat to someone else?
Unfortunately No. Because our six-seat tables are carefully curated—and in some cases guest-matched—tickets are non-transferable. If you can’t attend, please cancel within the event’s stated window (see your confirmation or event page). After the window closes, contact Support and we’ll advise on any options available for your specific booking.
Is tipping required?
Tips are optional. When available, you’ll see a way to tip your host or venue team.
How do I know who’s hosting?
Each event page features the sommelier, expert, or ambassador leading the table, plus their background and specialties.
How do you vet hosts?
We review credentials, hospitality skills, and guest feedback. Ongoing performance helps us keep quality high.
How long are events?
Typically 90–120 minutes, depending on the format and venue. The event page lists the timing.
What’s the dress code?
Smart casual works for most tables unless the event page notes otherwise.
Are there non-alcoholic options?
Some events are NA-friendly or can accommodate NA pairings. (Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, Cheese) Look for this on the event page or contact us before booking.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
When food is included, we list key allergens and available alternatives. Please note restrictions during booking so we can coordinate with the venue.
Do I need to be a wine expert to join?
Not at all. Sommtable™ events are welcoming to everyone 21+ from curious beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. Hosts tailor guidance to the table, so you’ll learn at your pace, ask questions, and enjoy the experience. (Many sessions also highlight beer, coffee, tea, chocolate, and cheese; some offer NA-friendly options.)
Do I need a membership to attend events?
No membership is required. You can book à la carte or opt into a membership for perks (like early access, preferred pricing, or exclusive sessions) when available.
After I complete the questionnaire and payment, can I come back later to register for additional events? Is my account information saved for future use?
Yes. Your booking and follow-ups are managed via SMS text messaging, and you can return anytime to book more events. Your account information is saved, just sign in with your email and password to view past bookings, manage upcoming events, and register again quickly.
How do I become a host?
If you’re a sommelier, wine/food expert, or ambassador, submit your interest via our Host/Partner form with your credentials, formats, and regions/styles you love to teach. https://sommtable.com/pages/sommtable-experiences
Are celebrity live conversations recorded?
Recording is at the host/guest’s discretion. If a replay is included, we’ll say so on the event page and share access with attendees.
Can brands or venues partner with Sommtable™ ?
Absolutely. We collaborate with wineries, breweries, coffee roasters, chocolatiers, cheesemakers, restaurants, and hospitality groups to host intimate six-seat tables—and every partnered experience includes a full digital campaign.
What if I’m running late?
Please aim to arrive on time; small tables start quickly. Late seating is at the host’s discretion.
Are tickets refundable?
Most bookings are non-refundable because we finalize seating and process charges a few days before the event to confirm your table matching.
Do you host private or corporate tables?
